Born in Miami, FL. BA degree in Fine Arts from University of South Florida, 1970 and the MS degree in Entomology, University of Florida, 1981. Taxonomic Entomologist, West Virginia Department of Agriculture, 1986-1988; Florida Department of Agriculture 1988 to present.

Research interests include: the biology and systematics of Cucujidae (sens. lat.) (including Laemophloeidae, Silvanidae, Passandridae, Hemipeplus, Inopeplus); Zoogeography of the Coleoptera of Florida.
