L. Stange, Curator
The gall collection (170 drawers) is organized by host plant and includes a wide range of gall types including those created by Cynipidae (Hymenoptera), Cecidomyiidae (Diptera), Tephritidae (Diptera), Phylloxeridae, Eriophyidae and others. The gall making insects are found in the taxonomic collections of adults and larvae. This collection is lacking many types of galls because of the lack of specialists in the group but represents a nuclear collection useful for reference and identification.
