|Three species of this genus occur in America north of Mexico. Members are found on prostrate white polypore fungi on logs or under bark and adults are frequently collected at light. Ischyrus quadripunctatus (Olivier) is the only member whose larva is known. Its larva is illustrated in Lawrence (1991), and many other references, but no formal description has been made.|
